Does The Jane serve a lunch menu?

We serve 1 fixed tasting menu, this both for lunch and dinner.

I have an allergy/diet wish.

Signature of our kitchen is the use of fish, shellfish, citrus, vegetables and fresh seasonal products.

Due to the composition of our menu and identity of our kitchen, we are not able to accommodate following diet wishes:

  • Vegan
  • Gluten free 
  • Soy
  • Lactose free 
  • Eggs
  • Spinach
  • Citrus fruits
  • Vinegar
  • Rosemary 
  • Mushrooms, garlic, onion, celery, leek (processed in our stocks)

Are you not a fan or do you have an allergy for fish and shellfish, the menu will be adjusted to mainly vegetarian dishes.

A combination of many diet wishes can sometimes also not be achievable.

if you do not communicate your diet wish in advance, we will charge an extra cost of €30,00 in the restaurant.

When is The Jane open?

OPENING HOURS

Lunch from Friday until Sunday.

Dinner from Thursday until Sunday.

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and lunch on Thursday are our fixed closing days.

We are happy to welcome you at 2 moments, for lunch at 12:00 and 12:30 and for dinner at 18:30 and 19:00.

VACATION 2024 - 2025 

Monday 14th of October until Wednesday 23rd of October.

Monday 23rd of December until Wednesday 8th of January.

How do I make a reservation? What is the reservation term?

For the restaurant, you can make a reservation up to three months in advance. Every first of the month at 8 a.m, a whole month will come available 3 months later. For reservations up to 6 persons you can only book online, click here to do so.

The availability online is always accurate and real-time.

How do I use the calendar on the booking page?

On the calendar you will see following icons.

– Green Circle: please note your reservation is only confirmed when you filled out the complete form and you have also received a confirmation by email with a reservation number.

– Circle with” hourglass”: the date is fully booked but you still can add yourself to the waiting list.

– Circle with “x”: the date is fully booked and waiting list is closed due to the high amount of registrations or the restaurant is exclusively reserved for an event.

– Circle with “i”: you cannot book more than 3 months in advance or the restaurant is closed due to holiday.

I did not receive a confirmation.

If you do not receive a confirmation of your reservation within 10 minutes, please check your SPAM. Your provider might select automatic sent emails to be sent to the SPAM. When the confirmation is also not found here, please contact us by phone on +32 (0)3 808 44 65.

How does the waiting list work?

When the date is indicated as a circle with “hourglass”, you have the possibility to register yourself on the waiting list.

Adding yourself to the waiting list is optional but not a guarantee. It offers a chance when a table becomes available again. When this happens we will contact you ourselves. As we rely on cancellations, we cannot indicate if or when you will be contacted. When you don’t receive a message, changes have not occurred.

It is possible and allowed to register for more than one date.

Is it possible to book outside the reservation term?

The reservation term for the restaurant is three months. The bookable dates are indicated on the calendar at the booking website.

Exceptions will NOT be made, any requests outside the reservation term will therefore not be handled.

I want to book for 7 or more persons in The Jane.

Group reservation requests (7-12 personen) can be sent to: contact@thejaneantwerp.com.

*Also for group reservations we take into account the reservation term of 3 months.

*With a group reservation, we ask a prepayment of €295 pp.

*Due to the service and menu we serve, 12 people is the maximum we can accommodate in the restaurant.

Credit Card authorization

We would like to inform you that you will receive an e-mail to reconfirm your reservation, this 2 weeks prior to your visit.

With this reconfirmation, we will ask an authorization on your credit card (€150,00 per person).

This amount will only be frozen on your account, not charged. After your visit the authorization will be released automatically, this will not be deducted from the bill in the restaurant.

If you do not cancel or cancel late, we will charge the guarantee on your credit card for the costs we have made. 

*For group reservations as from 7 until 12 people, we ask a prepayment of €295 per person.

Can I park my car at The Jane?

 

We would like to inform you that you can reserve a parking spot in our private parking garage, our garage is located about 5 minutes walking distance from the restaurant.

A parking space costs €12, this cost will be added to your bill in the restaurant.

You can add a parking space when making a reservation online, after you can request this via e-mail: contact@thejaneantwerp.com.

We would like to inform you that there is also a Q-park parking garage located 10 minutes walking from the restaurant, for more information you can check their website: https://www.q-park.be/en-gb/cities/antwerp/berchem-station/

Of course, you can also park in the surrounding streets of the restaurant, payment can be made through a parking meter.

Is it possible to access The Jane with a wheelchair?

The restaurant has an elevator and is therefore accessible for wheelchairs.

Do inform us in advance when arriving with a wheelchair for us to assign a suitable table.

Due to the height of the bar kitchen, the bar is less suitable for wheelchairs.

Are dogs allowed?

In the restaurant small dogs (up to 5 kilo) are allowed.

Do inform us in advance of the presence of a small dog, for us to assign a suitable table.

In the bar dogs are not allowed.

Can I buy a gift card for The Jane?

You can buy our gift cards via our online shop.

Our gift vouchers have a money value and are always valid for 2 years.

When you have purchased the gift voucher, you will receive a confirmation e-mail, in this e-mail you can find a link to download the PDF-format of your gift voucher.

Every gift voucher has a unique code and verification number, these can be added when making a reservation online.

Can I rent out the restaurant exclusively?

You have the possibility to rent our restaurant exclusively, requests can be taken into account outside of our reservation term of 3 months. With the exception of our holiday periods and fixed closing days (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday lunchtime).

We have a maximum capacity of 60 guests, this is also our minimum charge, this is a fixed cost also if you would attend with fewer guests.

We would like to state that “the culinary experience” is the main focus for The Jane and her guests, this is not subject to modification or exceptions. That is why we do not have the ability to accommodate activities as speeches, acts, live bands, workshops… We work with a fixed menu in the restaurant, walking diners are not possible.
