With about 40 employees, The Jane operates with a business structure that requires overall organization and stability. Your Responsibilities:
You will take the honors at the reception of the restaurant. As hostess you'll be responisble for the first contact with the restaurant guests, you will show them around and provide a professional yet warm and caring point of contact during their visit. You are the most important contact person, since you're the first and last one to leave an impression on our guests. A perfect hygiene of the reception area, the right atmosphere through candles, music, temperature, ... are your responsibility.

HIGH LEVEL RESTAURANT MANAGER
As our restaurant manager you are responsible for everything concerning front of house and are closely involved with all other departments within The Jane and untitled. You pursue a perfect service and are therefore in close contact with your colleagues from the kitchen and our guests. Communication with the kitchen and guest contact are important. During service, you have an active role between the different teams in order to coach the workflow optimally. You ensure efficiency and take care of things that are not going well with the right people. You will also provide the necessary workshops and trainings for the team.
Bookings are managed by our reservations department, however you keep a close eye on the guest list. You will have some administrative tasks, such as workforce scheduling, recruitment and financial monitoring. Together with Nick and his teams you will also develop new projects and ensure the optimal operational functioning of the company through good communication.

This position requires you to have sufficient technical knowledge to manage and organise the front of house. Therefore, we are looking for someone with professional pride, a great eye for detail and a feeling for hospitality. On top of that:

We are looking for new team players to strengthen our first class team and uphold our high level service and experience. At The Jane Antwerp, we offer the opportunity to put your experience to use and share it with others. Because of the size of our team you get the opportunity to choose for an all-round function or to focus on a certain aspect within the restaurant. Expeditors make sure the orders are being well timed cooked, so that all orders for a table are ready at the same time and make sure that once the dishes are prepared, servers run food to the table while it's warm and ready. As our Virgin Sommelier, you will work closely with our Sommelier Trésor Vets and be responsible for various aspects of our ‘The Jane drinks experience’. As chef de partie, you are responsible for your own partie (hot or cold side) in the kitchen. You have a leadership position, but are also part of the overall team. Together, you can make sure you have the most complete experience possible.
